Ever wondered where those police or ambulances with sirens blasting are heading to?
My Local favorites are:
Myrtle Beach Police & EMS
Horry Country Police & EMS
SC Highway Patrol Dispatch
You can listen to police, fire, and EMS as it happens. I frequently listen to the Chicago police channel, weekend nights can be non-stop action.
There are several apps available, but I prefer the Police/EMS Scanner app from Gordon Edwards. The FREE version does have ads, but they are not intrusive at all. There is a paid Android version for $2.99, but I find the free version works just fine.
Most, if not all, scanner apps get their real-time Police, Fire, EMS and Special Event feeds from Broadcastify.com. A website with a large (and I mean large) source of public live audio streams. Broadcastify has a very easy to use interface, you can see what people are listening to and where the action is.
You can use these links to download and install the apps to your smartphone.
