This is a Living Social Deal, which means if you’re not already signed up for Living Social, you’ll need to give them your e-mail address. You can always opt out later if you don’t want their e-mails. Since there’s no Living Social in Myrtle Beach yet, when asked for a city, choose Charleston.

This deal expires on January 29, 2012, which means you have to buy it by then if you want to get in on it. You’ll have until February 26, 2012, to use your movie voucher.

Today’s Groupon Deals

Since there’s no Groupon in Myrtle Beach yet, I thought I’d start keeping an eye out for National deals that can be used by anyone in any city. So here’s today’s list. If you don’t already have a Groupon account, you’ll need to give them your e-mail address to sign up. When asked to choose a city, choose Charleston.

These deals are pulled automatically from the Groupon online deals. A few of them are regional, so make sure you read the fine print.

HOW DAILY DEALS WORK:
Most sites require you to sign up to get the deals (but you can unsubscribe after if you want). You have to pay in advance and get vouchers for the deals. Some deals require a certain number of buyers to take effect. Most are good for a day, but some last longer. Though all the sites work in similar ways, there are some differences so read the fine print.

Kids Jamboree

This weekend, January 28-29, 2012, the Florence Civic Center will be hosting its 7th Annual Kids Jamboree. Admission is just $6 per person. If you buy your tickets in advance at Piggly Wiggly (by the end of the day on January 27), you’ll get a $1 discount.

This event includes carnival rides, a 100 foot giant slide, inflatables, a toddler play area, live entertainment, kids’ games, inflatables, karaoke, building workshops, a  magic show, stilt walkers, a reptile safari, food and drinks for purchase, and more.

The festival runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Florence Civic Center is located at 3300 W. Radio Drive in Florence, South Carolina (about 68 miles northwest of Myrtle Beach).

Free Admission to the South Carolina Lifestyles Expo

Here’s one for the 50+ generation. I’m not going to say how close to that age group I am…

This Saturday and Sunday, January 28-29, 2012, The Myrtle Beach Convention Center is hosting the 2012 South Carolina Lifestyles Expo. Admission is free, although there may be a $3 parking fee.

This retirement expo includes live entertainment, health and wellness events, golf tips, more then 100 exhibits, demonstrations, and door prizes.

The expo runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The Myrtle Beach Convention Center is located at 2101 North Oak Street in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
