The City of Myrtle Beach has installed new Selfie Stations and benches all along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for your selfie taking entertainment and to rest those weary bones.
Selfie Stations
After a busy off-season of replacing the old “boards” with new and environmentally friendly composite boards, visitors to the boardwalk can now take selfies at the new ocean themed selfie stations along the route.
Located along the merchants section of the boardwalk, the selfie stations allow you to take memorable photos with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.
Kids will love capturing their moment in time with a photo of large colorful turtles, sea monsters, and sand castles!
Resting Benches
The old bench style seating has been replaced with more modern circular style seats for those needing to take a rest or to sit and admire the beautiful coastline. They are located along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk route from 2nd Avenue North to 17th Avenue North.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk opened in May of 2010. Originally constructed as a 1.2 mile oceanfront boardwalk from 2nd Avenue North to 14th Avenue North, it has been extended to 17th Avenue North.
It has become the centerpiece for downtown oceanfront restaurants, shops and arcades. Anchored at the southern end by the 2nd Avenue Pier and by the 14th Avenue Pier at the northern end, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk attracts millions of tourists and is enjoyed by locals each year.
The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel is a prominent attraction just steps from the boardwalk. At night, the SkyWheel is lit up with over 1 million bulbs and is truly a sight you don’t want to miss.

Plyler Park, home of the Goddess of the Sea sculpture, is located about mid-point of the boardwalk and home to numerous events throughout the season.
